The RFP for HR/Payroll software to replace BPP and its related web applications closed October 10thwith bids from three vendors: Ellucian (Banner), Oracle (PeopleSoft) and Workday. The Evaluation Team met the first week of November to review each product’s functional fit, software cost over a ten-year period, and narrative responses including company profile information; user communities; security; software maintenance and upgrades; system integration and hosting services. Thank you to everyone who helped create the 3000+ requirements used to begin to understand each product’s functional fit.
The Evaluation Team will meet in early December with each vendor to get a better understanding of their proposed solution. Following these Discovery and Clarification Sessions, the team will decide which vendors will be invited to demonstrate their software to the A&M System community. Software demonstrations are scheduled for January in College Station and in February at A&M Commerce and A&M Kingsville. We will send specific dates and schedules once the vendors are selected. Please plan on attending the demonstrations in your region and be prepared to invite faculty and additional staff.
Looking Forward to Implementation
Although it will be some months yet before the Executive Steering Committee selects a vendor and determines if we will move forward to replace BPP and its related web applications, we are beginning now to lay the foundation for a successful implementation. Beginning early next year, the Steering Committee will be identifying project leaders and participants from their institution/agency. Once the vendor is selected, we will issue an RFP to identify an implementation partner consulting company to help drive the project to success. Our target date to kick-off the HR/Payroll Replacement implementation is September 1, 2015 with a target completion of September 2017.
