Software demonstrations by Oracle(PeopleSoft) and Workday have been completed at College Station and Commerce. The final round of demonstrations is underway this week in Kingsville. We have had good attendance at the demonstrations so far; a little over 300 in attendance at College Station and Commerce, and upwards of 70 logons to the web sessions from College Station.
Surveys were created to collect feedback about the software solutions demonstrated. The surveys include questions on each solution’s functional fit, user interface and mobile features. They also ask about attendee’s overall impressions, provide an opportunity to share comments, and ask which software would be the best choice for TAMUS. Members of the HR Advisory Committee are being asked to complete a more in-depth survey.
This is an important piece of the evaluation process, so please do respond if you viewed the demonstrations whether in person or online.
Survey links have been sent to all those who registered for the College Station and Commerce demos. We have had a good response so far with lots of insightful comments, but we need more of those who attended to complete the survey. If you have not yet provided feedback through the online survey, please do so. They will remain open until Friday, February 27, following the Kingsville demos. Access the surveys with the following links:
- HR Advisory Committee members: (Survey links inactivated)
- All other attendees: (Survey links inactivated)
Reference Calls and Site Visits
Reference calls and site visits are underway by two sub-committees of the evaluation team. During the calls and visits, team members will ask about reasons the software was selected, the implementation experience, overall satisfaction with the software, and how well functional needs are being met. Both sub-committees will report their findings to the whole Evaluation Team.
Reference calls are being conducted with the University of North Texas System and the University of Texas System about Oracle (PeopleSoft), and with New York University and the University of Texas at Austin about Workday.
Site visits begin this week with the University of Southern California to talk about Workday and continue next week with Ohio State University to learn more about Oracle (PeopleSoft).
Evaluation Team Recommendation Workshop/HR Advisory Input
On March 3–4, the Evaluation Team will meet to discuss the finalists and their solutions. They will consider information from the RFP responses, clarification sessions, software demonstrations, survey results, and reports from the site visit and reference check sub-committees. The team will produce a Final Evaluation Report to present to the HR Advisory Committee and Steering Committee.
On March 5, the Evaluation Team will share their findings and conclusions with the HR Advisory Committee and seek additional input from the committee. If you are a member of the HR Advisory Committee, please plan to attend this important meeting and share your thoughts on the software selection with the team. Meeting notices will go out this week.
